The documentary shows how the worlds most talented designers can stimulate the discussion about the future of Ukraine. While the war in Ukraine is still an everyday reality, people in Ukraine and around the world are starting to think about the rebuilding. During a 5 day workshop the world's best graduates explore how urbanists, landscape architects and architects can cooperate with Ukrainian partners to build back Ukraine better. We organize the workshops in Rotterdam because this city is an example of how this strategy can contribute to the quality of the post-war city. Rotterdam was bombed heavily at the start of the German occupation of the Netherlands in 1940 and immediately the process of planning the rebuilding started. In 1945 when the war ended plans for the rebuilding of the city were designed and the execution could start immediately. The city was not reconstructed. New concepts developed during the war were implemented, gradually Rotterdam became an inspiring modern city. That is where we are aiming at in Ukraine as well.

All designers of the submitted graduations projects for Archiprix International Addis Abeba were invited to join the workshops. Archiprix participants from 20 countries from all continents joined the workshops Rebuild Ukraine in Rotterdam.
